Stacy D. Hatrix

Stacy Dawn Santiago Hatrix age 38 of Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully April 10th after a long battle with cancer, at The Avon Ohio Cleveland clinic approximately 3:00pm. with her devoted husband Jeff Hatrix by her side. Stacy was born October 23rd 1985 to Lenny and Deloris Santiago of Lorain ohio. At age 3 Stacy and her brother Lenny Santiago went to live with their loving grandparents Leonard and Margaret Carder of Grafton Ohio. Stacy graduated from Midview High School, Grafton Ohio, where she was an honor student and basketball cheerleader. She went on to graduate with high honors from Miami University in Ohio, with a Masters degree in zoology .She worked many jobs though out her life, gaining many lasting friendships. Stacy’s positive, loving, bubbly, caring personality was very contagious. And brought joy to all. Her faith, family, and friends sustained her throughout her toughest times. Stacy was preceded in death by her grandparents Leonard and Margaret Carder of Grafton Ohio, her cousin in law Jermiah Coffield, and her close friends Rob —- and Matt—- her brother Andre Gaines. she is survived by her Husband Jeff Hatrix, step daughter Mea Jane Hatrix, brother Lenny Santiago, of Elyria Ohio, father and mother Lenny and Deloris Santiago-of Lorain Ohio, mother in law Annjanet sister in law Rhonda, Dianne, Denise, Darlene, Dawn and brother in laws Gerald, Mike and Ron, grandmother Millie Santiago of Lorain Ohio, aunts Becky Sebrell, Gary, of Salem Ohio, Marilyn Evans, Lee of Seville Ohio. Her cousins Annie Coffield, Beth Seiber, Troy Poling, Joshua Poling, Kerri Smith, Sarah Wilson, Randy Wilson whom she loved as brothers  and sisters. Visitation will be held for family and friends Monday April 15th from 2:00-6:00 at the Cathedral of Life Church 5375 Jaycox Rd. in North Ridgeville, Ohio .Funeral will be at 11:00 on Tuesday April 16, 2024 at The Cathedral of Life Church in North Ridgeville Ohio for family and close friends. There will be a private burial following the funeral in Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton Township. Arrangements are being handled by the Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton.
